The provided code works equivalently with recommended or more recent dependencies (yalm R20190425 and mosek 9.1). The library addaxis, provided with the code, needs a simple fix (replace 'colorord' by 'ColorOrder' in addaxis/aa_splot.m).
Figures 2 (exampleBarDeformation) and 1 (exampleExtremalQuasiConformal) can be partly reproduced.
